Are you sometimes feeling hopeless? Feels like God doesn’t hear you. Like you’ve been praying a lot, but nothing happens.
Even Christians sometimes feel this way, but why?
Sometimes, we tend to feel that the Lord is far from us.
He is just literally beside you.
You feel overwhelmed due to the trials and pain you’re going through.
But have you asked the Lord why I sometimes feel this way? My answer to that, based on my own experience, is that sometimes we are too confident, thinking that God is always with us. I thought because since I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, I tend to forget to pray to talk to him and just take him for granted. Everything is because we think that even without reaching out to him, he will always be there.
There is nothing wrong with that. However, if we always think that way, what will happen if we don’t consult and talk to God? We might lose everything: confidence, trust, and the peace of mind that we can get from God. But it always comes with working with God; we have to build our relationship with him so that our path will always be straight. How can you build a relationship to someone without talking to that person? Same thing with God; for you to have a relationship with him, we have to be consistent. Keep on praying, reading his words, and seeking the Lord.
Always remember that has a big Plan for us (Jeremiah 29:11), but Aside from this, God is just waiting for you and for me. He is our salvation; that thing will never ever change. Even before you go through your trial, the Lord overcame it. Just Like the other characters in the bible, especially his disciples, even though they are already with Jesus, sometimes they feel the same way even though they are already with Jesus. He doesn’t need protection from them because he’ll be protected by God the Father, whereas the disciples sometimes get worried that they might be harmed whenever they go to the place where Jesus will preach.
We must be grateful to God because the trials and struggles that we experience lead us closer to Jesus.
If you feel that you are distant from God, always pray and ask the Lord.
Matthew 21:22. “And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.
